Joseph's first Bible verse

Last Wednesday we signed Joseph up for Awanas. I have the best memories from attending awanas when I was younger. This year he is a cubbie. As a cubbie he will build a solid Biblical understanding through scripture memorization, by Bible teaching, puppets, crafts, and games. Each child will have the opportunity to memorize 55 Bible verses. So since last Wednesday we started practicing his Bible verse that he has to tell his Awana teacher this Wednesday. The verse is 1 John 4:10 ...God...loved us, and sent His Son... of course it is a broke down verse. Here is a video of Joseph reciting his verse. It is kinda hard to hear him.

4 Months Old

Levi is 4 months today. He does not go to the doctor until September 9 so I do not have his weight or height yet. Levi you are a great baby. You have been sleeping in your crib since you were a month old. I just lay you down and you go right to sleep. You no longer scream in the car so that is really nice. You have started rolling over from your tummy to your back when you are not ready to go to sleep.

Diapers: size 3

Clothes: 6-9 months

Eats: every 3 hours

Sleep: 6:00pm to 12:00am

12:30am to 5:00am

Potty Time

Lets just say we have had a bad experience in the potty training department. Joseph does good for a couple of days, and then there are days that he has accidents after accidents. So I decided to make a potty chart for Joseph. Each time he goes pee he gets one sticker, and each poop he gets 2 stickers. But for each accident we take away a sticker. Once he gets 20 stickers we will give him a prize. Hopefully this works because man it has been a long 7 months of potty training.

Here is the chart I made. He was excited to put his sticker up so hopefully he will continue to be excited.

Clean up time

Joseph used to be the cleanest little boy I knew. He helped me make his bed every morning, he would put away his clean clothes, his room was always always clean, and his play room he kept spotless. Sometime when we would have friends over he would get a little upset when the room got dirty. Then Levi came along and Joseph's cleaning went out the door. His room is always messy and his playroom now that is a fight. He tells me that daddy made these big messes and not him. We get everything clean, but man it is a fight these days.


Lets take today for an example, his playroom is crazy messy, and it drives me crazy. So while I told Joseph that he need to get downstairs and clean his room. After a pretty big fight and some tears he did go to clean. So every now and then I go and check to see the progress that he is making. Pretty much I am making sure he is still cleaning and not just playing. So this is what I found when I went down to check today.

Lazy days of summer

I can't believe that summer is almost over. Joseph will start preschool on September 14 which seems so far away, but it is nice to have him with us everyday. I can't believe 2 yrs from now Joseph will start kindergarten. I almost forgot Big Joe is about to start Grad school. I will have to get a picture of the two Joes on their first day of school.

Fun at the park!!

The weather has been awesome here in Ohio for the past two days. The high yesterday and today are in the low 80's. So instead of staying at home we ventured out to the park. I just love this weather, and I am really excited for Fall.

Coloring with Joseph

This morning while Levi took his morning nap, me and Joseph were able to spend some quality time together. It is really nice to just get that one on one time with Joseph. For the past two days Joseph has wanted to color for hours at a time. It is pretty shocking because in the past he would color for no more than 5 mins. So this morning me and Joseph colored in his dinosaur coloring book. Here are some pictures

Fun times with Mimi and Grandpa

Mimi and Grandpa came for a short but nice visit. We really wished they could of stayed longer, but Mimi had to work. I am sure we will see them soon. I only got pictures from the last day they were here.
